If you want a fresh look at Jesus, here's a great door! Readable, and great for a group study or personal reflection. CS Lewis comes to mind in a number of places. Great wisdom.

Let the revolution begin!

An excellent perspective on how we often sell out the true call of our faith for a consumer substitute. A challenge to guard against being so lulled by the comforts and trappings of suburban-American life that we literally begin to mix values that don't belong in our faith. That's called syncretism and as The Jesus of Suburbia makes clear, it's a big mistake.

To take the vision of this book seriously would lead to a beautiful living out of our faith as followers of Christ in the midst of our culture. This is excellent and accessible material that you can easily use in a small-group setting or to inform your teaching. As a pastor myself, I highly recommend it.

You may also be interested in learning more about ROCKHARBOR Church in Costa Mesa, CA where Mike Erre is the Teaching Pastor. It is a community of faith striving to live it's values in impressively unique ways despite it's location in the plush sun-drenched mall-topia of Orange County. If anyone has authority to speak of the challenges of truly being the Church in suburbia, it is Mike Erre with ROCKHARBOR as a living example.

READ THIS BOOK!

Great book! Mike challenges our comfortable watered down faith but does it in a challenging yet encouraging way. I love his frankness and his commitmment to scripture.

I would highly encourage pastors to read this and begin to think about if their church is safe or involved in the revolution to bring His love to the world. If you are not a pastor then read this and reflect on your life. Are you living a nice little suburban life or joining Jesus in His kingdom revolution?

THOROUGH REFERENCE GUIDE

This was a great reference to start an Information Security Architecture project. There are many guidelines, procedures and forms that take the guess work out of the administration of such a project. The book is great at keeping you on track with your security objectives. I have found that it is so easy with such large projects to lose sight of the objectives. Security is not only technical assessments of the network and operating components but also a combination of management and administration of personnel, policies and procedures and continuous application of pressure to meeting the security requirements of an organization. This book provides excellent value for the price.

As a Certified Information Systems Security Professional, I can definitively state that this book does not cover everything that needs to be covered or in any depth whatsoever. I got this book based on the glowing reviews I found here, and I'm at a loss as to why these reviews would have recommended it.

The most aggrevating part about this book is the subtitle "An Integrated Approach to Security in the Organization." The book not only lacks effective security integration techniques, it doesn't seem to address the entire organization where it tries its half-hearted integration.

A Realistic Approach to the Implementation of Security

There is so much involved in implementing security effectively throughout an organization. Without detailed experience it is easy to get lost in the midst of it all. Jan Tudor's book provides an organized thought process to the tasks at hand when implementing security in an integrated approach. This book provides a good combination of management, administration and technical implementations to security. The checklists, templates and forms eliminate the need to start an ISA project from scratch. This book is highly recommended and practical if you are going to take on such a project.

A good book.

If you are a Christian, this is a good book to read, plain and simple. Most of the negative reviews are from non-Christians who, because they lack the faith, don't like the book. Mr Robertson speaks the COLD HARD TRUTH, and because of it, a lot of people don't like him. I enjoyed the book, although I am a Catholic.

I found this book to be a wonderful guidline for anyone to live by who follows Christ. For those who do not subscribe to the teachings of the Bible or Jesus Christ, you may be suprised or shocked by some of the answers. Pat Robertson gives very thoughtful and biblical answers to some of life's toughest questions. Pat is not self-rightous or condescending, merely truthful in what the Bible teaches us on how we must live to follow Jesus Christ. Pat tells it like it is, and if some do not like the answers contained in the book, they may need to examine their own faith in God and Jesus. This book could change your life.

A very solid book for young learners. The songs are easy to read and the arrangements are simple, but not boring. Any young pianist will enjoy this around Christmas!

My 9 year old loves this book!

I bought this Popular Christmas Songs book for my 9 year old daughter to learn Christmas songs for the holidays last year. It was very easy for her to learn and she is a Level 1 beginner piano player. She couldn't put the book down and I would catch her practicing in her spare time without me asking her to do so. This is her favorite book by far. It has a lot of popular well know songs. This book contains 11 Christmas songs:

Angels We Have Heard on High, Deck the Halls, First Noell, Good King Wenceslas, Jingle Bells, Jolly Old Saint Nicholas, O Christmas Tree, Little Town of Bethlehem, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Silent Night and Up on the Housetop.

She was so proud to learn all the songs and master them and play them for our family during the holidays. Wen bought this book used and it came in very good condition. You couldn't even tell it was used. I will definitely be looking for other song books from this company. Great buy!
